Katie Gray, Professor of Instruction, Information, Risk, and Operations Management
I have almost exclusively taught undergraduates during my 16 years of teaching at UT, and this population is my absolute favorite. Over the years, I have taught undergraduates at all points of their (hopefully) 4-year journey, and each "season" of this experience presents a unique opportunity to shape their personal and professional lives. My service record supports this dedication to undergrads - I have received the Hank and Mary Harkins Award for Undergraduate teaching in McCombs, been named to the Texas 10 by the Texas Exes, received the Regents Outstanding Teaching Award (a system-wide award for excellence in undergraduate teaching) and was the second person ever to win the Undergraduate Amplify Award for Inclusivity in Classrooms in McCombs (the first was our amazing Dean, Dr. Lil Mills). I am also an alumna of UT, so I understand the undergraduate perspective from many different angles. I am one of the fortunate few people who have interacted with UT's undergraduate program as a prospective student, student, alumna, faculty, staff, administrator, and parent of a potential student. I would be honored to serve our undergraduates on this important committee.
School of Social Work
Lauren Gulbas, Associate Professor
I bring leadership experience, a strong commitment to undergraduate education, and a focused interest in enhancing student well-being through educational practices. Currently serving as the Vice-Chair of the Social, Behavioral, and Educational Institutional Review Board (IRB) and having held the position of Vice-Chair for the C-10 committee of the faculty council, I have demonstrated leadership and a deep commitment to the ethical and responsible conduct of educational initiatives within our university. Since 2016, I have taught a large-format Undergraduate Studies (UGS) course, during which I have actively pursued the integration of student well-being with learning objectives. This integration has been primarily through the application of evidence-based resiliency strategies within the classroom setting, underscoring my dedication to academic excellence and the holistic development of undergraduate students. Furthermore, my efforts to disseminate these innovative curriculum enhancements through the SHIFT program at UT showcase my commitment to faculty development and the broader educational community. My experience and keen interest in fostering an environment that supports our undergraduate students' academic and emotional well-being uniquely position me to contribute significantly to the Undergraduate College Advisory Committee.

Kathryn Tackett, Associate Professor of Practice, Special Education
For a decade, I've managed the undergraduate programming within the Department of Special Education. During this time, I spearheaded a comprehensive redesign of the degree plan, submitted successful applications for various flags, developed a core curriculum course, and introduced a study abroad option. Additionally, as the Special Education program lead to state certification, I possess a deep understanding of the distinctive constraints that such programs must navigate.
