The Faculty Council meeting on March 23rd will be an information session via Zoom on topics such as self care, online teaching tips, handling student concerns, counseling and mental health resources, and COVID-19.
The Zoom session will begin at 2:00 pm and the meeting will start at 2:15 pm. This will allow a 15-minute window for participants to connect to the session.

Announcements and Comments.
- The Faculty Council passed legislation for temporary grading policies on March 26, 2020. (https://utexas.box.com/s/p5q0nrddpm2jsj4d51b01lxvpoqhgjtc) The legislation was approved by the President and the Provost March 27, 2020.
- Voting phase for election to the Faculty Council opens March 23 through April 6.
- Online election of Voting Faculty Members to the Undergraduate Studies Advisory Committee (UGSAC) will open the week of March 30th.
- The Revised Resolution On the Support of Principles for Advancing Openness Through Journal Negotiations From the University of Texas Libraries Committee will be circulated on a no-protest basis. To be counted, a protest must be received in the Office of the General Faculty by April 1, 2020.
- The next Faculty Council business meeting will be on April 13 at 2:15 pm via Zoom.
- General Faculty Standing Committees' Annual Reports are due in mid-May if possible.
