Christopher H Meakin, Associate Professor of Instruction, Business, Government and Society

I have been a member of the UT faculty for almost twenty five years. I am happy to represent us and share ideas.

Dima Shamoun, Clinical Assistant Professor, Finance

My name is Dima Shamoun. I'm Clinical Assistant Professor in the Finance Department at McCombs. Due to an unexpected vacancy, I accepted to serve on the Faculty Council until August, but would be honored to serve for a full term. I am an active teacher and researcher and have served on many committees, from curriculum design of new degree programs to student recruitment.

Michael Sury, Associate Professor of Practice, Finance

Greetings fellow faculty! I am excited by the prospect of serving on the Faculty Council and actively representing you and your interests. In addition to being a UT faculty member since 2017, I’ve had additional roles with administrative (managing a center; designing new curriculum), policy (serving on undergraduate program and rigor committees), and mentorship (teaching fellow; faculty peer observer) responsibilities. As part of these activities, I have actively engaged with interdepartmental faculty, staff, and students to further our University’s educational and research missions. I look forward to continuing our University’s tradition of excellence by serving as your representative.
