With more than 40 years in STEM education spanning K-12 and higher education, I am currently serving as Professor of Practice at The University of Texas at Austin, teaching courses in STEM pedagogy and research methods while mentoring pre-service teachers. My leadership roles include mentoring in the UTeach program, coordinating professional development initiatives funded by the National Institutes of Health, and training educators nationwide in project-based and inquiry-driven instruction. I have a background in faculty governance through curriculum development, teacher training, and interdisciplinary collaborations across institutions. My experience informs my commitment to evidence-based teaching and fostering faculty development in research-driven instruction.

Michael Goodman, Assistant Professor of Practice, Educational Leadership and Policy

I am currently a professor of practice in the College of Education, studying college student governance, involvement, and equity issues in higher education. In addition, I am one of the Co-Coordinators for the Program in Higher Education Leadership and Policy. I am interested in this committee as I move into Year 2 of my Faculty Council appointment, with hope to contribute to rules/governance consistency and clarity for faculty members.
