Election for Faculty Rules and Governance Committee

I have served on the FC, the FCEC, my current department's governance committee (twice), and (multiple times) on the ECs of both my former and current departments. I am well versed in the faculty-facing policies in the HOP, and have co-authored and edited governance documents and many other policies at UT. I also co-authored the most recent version of my professional organization's guidelines about hiring and retention of faculty. I have a scholarly interest in policy, too: I write about how the USA's anomalous laws have shaped the peculiar national character of American industrial design. For all these reasons, I would be pleased and honored to serve on the General Faculty Rules and Governance Committee.
